SFI plays a vital role in all point of the campus,SFI continuesly holding the campus union for past 3 years.By ensuring all rights of students in the campus and also takeing protests for the students issues SFI stands as a important factor in campus.

Central Polytechnic College, Vattiyoorkavu was established in 1958 and has been providing the best education in Kerala. The college is approved by AICTE and is affiliated to the State Board of Technical Education (SBTE). The College offers 3year diploma courses in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics, Textile Technology, and Computer Engineering.

Established in the year 1958, CPTC started functioning. At first it offered three year diploma courses in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering.
